Today I want to show you how to make a quick yogurt and chives salad dressing that I adore as I never buy store bought dressings. The next time you’re buying groceries just read the ingredients and you’ll see why. I eat a lot of salads and our vegetable spring rolls call for a dipping sauce and this works great for that as well. This comes from Dr. Weil with whom I have great respect with his holistic and natural approach for most things.
1 cup organic plain Yogurt
2 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Chives to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
Combine these ingredients in a glass jar stirring well. You can use it immediately or it actually taste best after it has set for a bit to let the flavors blend.
I happen to love plain yogurt. It’s versatile for sweet or savory dishes for example our recipe for herb roasted chicken. Need I mention how healthy yogurt is; not the sweet stuff so much but the plain is great. You’ll really enjoy this recipe as it tastes wonderful and the creaminess is lovely. For a healthy treat carrot sticks dipped in this are wonderful too. You’ll not miss salad dressings from the store- in fact you may wonder why you have been eating them all these years, I know I did.
Give us your thoughts. Enjoy!
